Welcome to LettuceTalk OT.

I knew I wanted to become an OT when I was 17, after my cousin Matthew was born with physical and cognitive disabilities.

When I saw the impact of the therapists that worked with him, I knew that I wanted to be that life-changing experience for families.

After obtaining my Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy in 2002, I went on to complete my Masters in Medical Health Science with a specialty in Infant and Child Psychology in 2006, and obtain certifications in Infant massage, Interactive Metronome, Kinesiotaping, and Health Coaching.

As I began working with families, I noticed a heartbreaking trend with those who were newly diagnosed. There was no process or system to offer these families the education, resources, and support for the journey they were entering. Many families were given nothing more than a life-changing diagnosis they knew nothing about, and recommendations for therapies they knew nothing about.

They had gone to the experts with questions and concerns about their child, only to walk out adding confusion and overwhelm to that list. I knew that I had to step into that gap.

My personal health journey began with nutrition changes recommended by my pediatrician for my own children, who were getting sick often. After seeing firsthand how small changes in nutrition were changing their overall health, I began thinking about the nutritional deficits I was seeing in so many of my patients, and realizing that doctors weren’t asking about nutrition beyond infancy.

Today, I’m thrilled to live out the dream I had at 17 of changing the lives of families of children who experience daily challenges. I’m honored to walk alongside them, and connect them to everything they need to be able to take their next steps armed with the knowledge, resources, and support that will empower them to make the best decisions for their children.

My Values

Authenticity.

You have enough to decode. I’m committed to not adding to that list.

My mother taught me as a child that you should treat people the way that you want to be treated.

That’s what you can count on from me.

When you work with me, you can count on a promise to be heard, and guided - from a place of authenticity and a genuine desire to see your child live their best.

Accountability.

I believe accountability and clarity are key components of support on your journey.

When you work with me, you can count on a commitment to equipping you with the resources and strategies that will help you become your child’s best advocate.

I will give you clear, simple strategies that you can implement into your day to help your child live their best.

Individual Best.

This is your child’s journey, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach.

My mission is to be a partner in YOUR family’s journey, and to help you guide your child into every success that will build their best life.

Every win is a win, and my commitment to you is that I will always offer my best to help you to meet your goals and best understand the road ahead.

A few of my favorite things…

  • I LOVE having my house full of kids. Bounce houses, snow cone machines, you name it. If it includes laughter and kids running happily all around, it brings me joy.

  • I am a huge Miami Dolphins fan. It all started when I was four years old and my uncle took me to my first game. I was hooked. Don’t be surprised if you see me decked from head to toe in Dolphins gear on a Sunday. If I wasn’t an OT, I would be a sports reporter.

  • I’m borderline obsessed with metal water bottles. If it is fun, pretty, or functional, I need it in my collection. I even have a metal water bottle cozy, so that my bottle doesn’t make that annoying metal clanging sound when I put it on my table or desk. I wouldn’t want to scratch the bottle.
