Helping you navigate the confusing waters of your child’s special needs diagnosis, and step into "what comes next" with the education, support, and resources that you and your child need.

Because the process shouldn’t leave you trying to figure everything out on your own.

You’ve found yourself in a new - sometimes overwhelming reality: Referrals to specialists. Labs and diagnostic tests. Early intervention screenings. Therapy evaluations. Diagnosis reports, and plans of care - minus the translation to layman’s terms.

Children don’t come with a handbook, and children with varying exceptionalities certainly don’t come with instructions.

I help families understand the new journey they are about to take, so that along with their medical professionals, they can understand and explore the best options for their child.

    · Where can I take my child so he or she can just enjoy being a child?

I’m Kristen - Wife, Mom, OT, & Family Empowerment Consultant.

I’ve spent the two decades working with children with varying exceptionalities.

Ten years ago, the health journey of my own children inspired me to dive deeper into the role of nutrition in the lives of the children I worked with, and what I learned changed my mission as an OT.

I’ve seen the heartbreaking confusion and overwhelm of families as they step into an unknown journey of navigating their child’s challenges.… with no guide, no translator, and little more than pamphlets to introduce the confusing road ahead - and I’m here to change that script.

  • 1:1 Report Coaching

As a parent, you’re a fact finder - and understanding what the reports mean, where your child needs help, and what the options ahead look like is high on your list - but the therapy jargon, evaluation reports and plans of care seem to be written for someone else.

You’re ready for a one-on-one session focused on your child and your questions - that breaks down all of the therapy jargon, and helps you understand the recommendations for your child on the road ahead.

  • Nutrition Coaching

You know that nutrition plays a crucial role in overall health, and you’re tired of wondering whether diet or nutrition changes could help your child - and where you’d even start in today’s sea of nutrition trends and recommendations.

You’re ready to start with the basics - simple strategies to help maximize your child’s nutrition, and guidance on how to navigate your child’s specific eating challenges (because spoiler - you aren’t wrong - the most important thing IS that they eat).

  • Special Needs Coaching

The journey you’ve found yourself on isn’t one you planned, and the overwhelm of that reality is real… but hear me out Mom or Dad: You don’t have to figure it out alone.

Learning about and finding help - from community resources, to educational advocacy, to parent support - doesn’t have to be an extra chapter in this new journey. If you’re looking for one-on-one support to help educate you on all of the resources available to maximize daily living, you’re in the right place.

From Our Families

What stood out most to me about working with Kristen was that her listening always resulted in some action - and that action always came from a balance between her expertise, and her authentic search to find the strategies that worked best for my son. I never shared a concern that went unanswered, or that was returned with a scripted response. I always knew she would listen genuinely, speak genuinely, and pull from every resource in her experience to help us explore the best solutions. As a special needs parent, having that kind of a partner on your child’s team is invaluable.

- Vanessa A., Autism Mom

I was so nervous about my son's diagnosis, and overwhelmed by all the information that I read about ADHD. After Kristen evaluated my son, she recommended also having him evaluated for auditory processing and visual tracking disorder... This helped my husband and I, his school, and tutors really narrow down how to help him, and made a huge difference in his progress. She also referred me to our pediatrician, who has been instrumental in his overall health, and to our child advocate, who has helped us tremendously with his needs - in and out of school… It was a new world for me, with a host of new language that was confusing and often scary. I instantly felt very comfortable with Kristen... everything she has shared with me has always helped in one way or another. She plays such a large part in getting the best help for my son, and I am so grateful for her.

When Kristen introduced me to Juice Plus, I was definitely hesitant, but my daughter's eczema was out of control, and I was willing to try anything. One simple change - adding great-tasting gummies into her every day routine - we saw huge improvements within just a few weeks. Five years into it, and my kids are both super-healthy and eczema-free. We won't ever stop incorporating JP into our days.
