Wife, Mom, OT & Family Empowerment Consultant

After 20+ years as an occupational therapist, I created Lettuce Talk OT to help families navigate the now, next steps and nutrition through resources and education. Occupational Therapy in Real Life and the community. OT in Real Life is an empowering approach to enhancing your family’s lifestyle… with or without a diagnosis.

You Aren’t Alone.

Because the process shouldn’t leave you trying to figure everything out on your own.

You’ve found yourself in a new - sometimes overwhelming reality: Referrals to specialists. Labs and diagnostic tests. Early intervention screenings. Therapy evaluations. Diagnosis reports, and plans of care - minus the translation to layman’s terms.

Children don’t come with a handbook, and children with varying exceptionalities certainly don’t come with instructions.

I help families understand the new journey they are about to take, so that along with their medical professionals, they can understand and explore the best options for their child.

  • "Kristen and her team are an absolute dream to work with! From the very first session, they made me feel heard, supported, and truly understood. Their kindness, expertise, and dedication made all the difference, and I am forever grateful for the incredible help they provided for my sweet toddler!" -Busy Mom of a two year old

  • "As a speech therapist, I love collaborating with Lettuce Talk OT! Their dedication to supporting children and families shines through in everything they do. Working together has made such a positive impact on our shared clients, and I’m so grateful for their expertise, creativity, and collaborative spirit!"

  • “What stood out most to me about working with Kristen was that her listening always resulted in some action - and that action always came from a balance between her expertise, and her authentic search to find the strategies that worked best for my son. I never shared a concern that went unanswered, or that was returned with a scripted response. I always knew she would listen genuinely, speak genuinely, and pull from every resource in her experience to help us explore the best solutions. As a special needs parent, having that kind of a partner on your child’s team is invaluable.”

  • “I was so nervous about my son's diagnosis, and overwhelmed by all the information that I read about ADHD. After Kristen evaluated my son, she recommended also having him evaluated for auditory processing and visual tracking disorder... This helped my husband and I, his school, and tutors really narrow down how to help him, and made a huge difference in his progress. She also referred me to our pediatrician, who has been instrumental in his overall health, and to our child advocate, who has helped us tremendously with his needs - in and out of school… It was a new world for me, with a host of new language that was confusing and often scary. I instantly felt very comfortable with Kristen... everything she has shared with me has always helped in one way or another. She plays such a large part in getting the best help for my son, and I am so grateful for her.”

  • “When Kristen introduced me to Juice Plus, I was definitely hesitant, but my daughter's eczema was out of control, and I was willing to try anything. One simple change - adding great-tasting gummies into her every day routine - we saw huge improvements within just a few weeks. Five years into it, and my kids are both super-healthy and eczema-free. We won't ever stop incorporating JP into our days.”

    - Rachel V., Mom
